Rob McDonald

Rob is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution and Litigation practice at Deutsch Miller.

He has broad experience in regulatory and quasi-criminal disputes, including acting for and advising regulators on matters involving fraud, dishonesty and breaches of trust within organisations. Rob’s matters often involve complex expert evidence.

Rob provides strategic litigation advice to clients. While he is experienced appearing in a courtroom, having acted as lead and junior counsel in trials, he is equally focused on providing pragmatic and commercial solutions.

Rob was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2019 and holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in economics) from the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand.

When not in the office, Rob is a keen swimmer and enjoys competing in ocean swimming events.
